On Saturday 3 June 2023, Robert—and with him, Knut Fournier, a recent pupil in Chambers—discussed 8 key features of the Hong Kong legal system at The Salisbury, Grand Assembly Hall II, TST to Shanghai University MBA students as part of the Hong Kong leg of their “Global Business Study Tour”.
Robert, who was invited to speak by the University of Law (“ULaw”), talked about the common law, judicial independence, the jury system and judicial review in Hong Kong.
Robert was called to the English Bar in 2006 and the Hong Kong Bar in 2012. He is a versatile counsel, with an established civil and commercial practice and a growing criminal practice. He is also an accredited mediator and a visiting lecturer at ULaw and the University of Hong Kong.
