Jonathan Ah-weng

Jonathan obtained his LL.B from the University of Durham and his LL.M from University College London.  He was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2003 and enjoys a balanced civil and criminal practice. 

He regularly conducts trials and appeals in criminal matters ranging from commercial frauds, OSCO/ DTROP matters, ICAC, C&E, to departmental and industrial summonses.

In his civil commercial practice, Jonathan conducts regular court and advisory work in various areas, including shareholders disputes, sales of goods, trusts, fraud, land/ building management.  He is also developing a matrimonial practice.  

Jonathan conducts cases in both Cantonese and English.  

He has been a CEDR accredited mediator since 2007 and has an active mediation practice.  Recently, he received training in collaborative law, and is involved in its introduction and development into Hong Kong. 

Aside from practice, he teaches part time in advocacy workshops at the University of Hong Kong. He is an established advocacy trainer for the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Advocacy Training Council of Hong Kong.
