Profile

Fergus joined Chambers in 2021 after completing his pupillage with Mr. Benson Tsoi (now Mr. Benson Tsoi SC), Mr. Ernest Ng, Mr. Tim Parker, and Mr. Earl Deng. He was awarded the Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship in the same year. Fergus is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators.

Fergus obtained a B.A. (Hons) in Law at the University of Cambridge in 2019 (and was admitted to M.A. in 2023). He took part in a number of mooting competitions, including both the 2020 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the 25th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

He is currently a part-time Lecturer (Non-Clinical) at the University of Hong Kong teaching the Law of Tort II (LLAW 1006) and coaching the HKU Jessup team.

Fergus is capable of providing written submissions and conducting hearings in both English and Chinese. He is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of work.
